Adaptive Desktop
The Adaptive Desktop is all about making Windows applications as easy to deploy and manage as web
applications.
The applications built on top of the Adaptive Desktop environment can dynamically change
based upon a users rights and permissions. We are building an intelligent platform to deliver the right
applications to each user based upon their job function.
For instance a call center supervisor may run a command center module within their Adaptive Desktop where they can monitor
their agents on their team.
They can also interact with them through our Messaging service to help answer questions.
A call center agent application may change depending on which client they are taking calls for during their shift.
The Adaptive Desktop system could be configured to give an agent access to Client A’s application on Mondays and
Tuesdays, but Client B’s application the rest of the week. One of the other key benefits of the Adaptive Desktop
is the ability to create applications that “look and feel†the same.
This is done through style and skinning features of the environment. This will also help with accessibility for disabled agents.
However the Adaptive Desktop is not limited to just call center applications.
It can be used to deliver any type of Windows application, such as a corporate dashboard, portal site, system
and application management tools. Some of the features of this system are listed below.
- Support for 3rd party and custom plugins.
- Dynamic creation of applications based upon user entitlements and permissions.
- Common skinning/styling of applications to provide a consistent look and feel for hosted applications.
- Set of reusable common components and services, such as single-sign on, application usage tracking support.
